In SaaS, the software is run on the provider’s servers, and users have software functions as a service via the Internet and pays a service fee.
Advantages of SaaS include the following
-There is no need for users to install, build, or manage their own computers
-Easy to start using the software in a short period of time
-Users pay service fees only for the period or amount of usage
-Possible to respond to sudden increases or decreases in the number of users
-Users can use the latest software version
Disadvantages
-Unable to use the system in the event of provider’s server/network or Internet failures
-Security concerns from data retention in external environment
-Difficulty in customization for user-specific request and operations
